Stefan Schulzki – Geburt eines Pianisten

 

Diese Woche sah ich mir selbst zu, wie sich meine Wahrnehmung wie eine Zwiebel schälte. Montags bot mir ein Kollege in einem Konzert eine Karte für ein Konzert am Freitag an. Dann murmelte mir im gleichen Konzert Karl Wallowsky ins Ohr, dass in seinem SchwereReiter die nächsten 2 Wochen interessante Veranstaltungen stattfinden werden. Zwei Tage später wusste ich nun, warum mir Kompositionskollege Stefan Schulzki, den ich durch Adevantgarde kennen lernte, seine musica-viva-Karte anbot: er sprang im SchwereReiter für jemand ein. Aber nicht als Komponist, sondern als Solo-Pianist. So kannte ich ihn bisher nur als Mitglied des Ensembles „Komponistenverschwörung“, wo die Komponisten selbst mitspielen und mitsingen. Nichts wie hin! Wer gestern nicht dabei war, hat bereits die erste Blüte dieses Frühjahrs verpasst.

Stefan spielte zuerst seine Musiken für Klavier und Musikelektronik Nrn.1-3. In den ersten beiden mischte er den Live-Sound mit quirligen Zuspielungen, um immer deutlicher das Klavier hervortreten zu lassen. Seine wunderschönen Harmonien spielte er mit bezaubernder Leichtigkeit, bezog in Nr. 2 gar den Umblätterer als ad-hoc-Pianisten mit ein. So verschoben sich von Mal zu Mal Klang und Rollen der beteiligten Menschen in charmanten Nuancen. Klavierstücke Nummer 3 war dann das emanzipierteste Elektronikstück. Stefan spielte nun mit Besen und anderen Gegenständen im Klavierkorpus selbst, verwandelte diese Klänge samplerartig mit seinen Zuspielungen in ein soghaftes Klavierplasma, dass er zuletzt am extra zugeschaltetem Synthesizer wiederum per Midi in Keyboardtasten importierte. Dann ein Bruch! Er spielte zuerst die Liszt-Adaption von Isoldes Liebestod nach R. Wagner. Aber man hörte nach Stefans eigenen Stücken erstaunlicherweise darin keinen Rückschritt, oder vermisste auch nicht das originale Orchester. Stefan interpretierte es so differenziert, dass einem die Liszt-Adaptionen all der Werke des 19. Jahrhunderts plötzlich wie die erste Musikelektronik ohne Elektronik vorkamen.

Zuletzt mit grosser Klangsinnlichkeit und Gestaltungskraft die h-Moll-Sonate von Franz Liszt. So hatte sich nicht nur meine Wahrnehmung gepellt, sondern ein echter Pianist war an diesem Abend geboren worden. Das wird er zwar weiter mit der Zurückhaltung des eigentlichen Komponisten ausüben, der sich mit weiteren, schwierigeren Stücken alle Zeit der Welt nimmt und nur ohne Druck öffentlich zeigen wird. Das aber macht Stefan mir noch sympathischer. Heute, den 20.3.15, 20 Uhr, wird er nur ein Stück von sich spielen und höchstwahrscheinlich zum ersten Mal ein Klavierstück von John Strieder in München zum Erklingen bringen.
